AOL / AIM Triton Active Update Fix

ok. as of last night i had had enough! i love AIM (do not judge me!) because it keeps me connected to my favorite people, BUT, as of late, i simply CANNOT/could not deal with the the excessive rate of the AOL active update pop-up that was terrorizing my internet experience. i LOVE my internet time. no, really, don't mess with me while i am in the middle of my online routine. i don't like things slowing me down and freezing my system while i am trying to get the l-d from perez regarding saMAN and lezLO, princess riri and the return of brit brit. i knew someone out there in internet-land had figured out the solution to my problem, so i did a little google search, and came up with some answers that appear, as of my internet experience this morning, to actually work!

I am using windows, i did a search of the following 2 files :

1: anotify.exe

2: aolsoftware.exe


now just rename the files and delete them, then retart your system.
it seems to be working and that makes me happy.
